What about security?

Security scares and the Internet go hand in hand but we have loads of mechanisms in place to make sure the service is as secure as possible:

Online payments are secured using an industry standard technology called SSL. This makes sure that your card details can't be intercepted en route between your PC and our servers. As soon as we receive your card details, we encrypt them and pass them to the bank. We never actually store your card details anywhere.

Your account is constantly monitored by our own systems which detect unusual usage. If you normally use 10 transactions a day and suddenly use 20 in the space of a minute we will lock your account down automatically, send you an urgent email and notify our own security team to investigate.

Keys can be locked down to any number of IP addresses and also have daily limits set.

Our servers are held in secure locations and are protected with firewalls.

We constantly review our security policies and we aim to apply any patches within hours of them being released.
